England national team manager Garreth Southgate said it is not too late for any footballer to find a seat in the World Cup. The specialist is looking specifically at Jack Wilshire, who hoped to return to England for controls with the Netherlands and Italy, but injured his knee injury. Arsenal`s midfielder has not played for England since Euro 2016.
`I do not think it`s too late for anybody. ` I know some guys are tough because they are not in the squad but there was no time to play forwe still see a group of about 32 contestants and each of them has the chance to earn the spot in the team for the next 8 to 10 weeks, `said Southgate. England will play three more control meetings before the start of the World Championship in Russia, the first of which is tonight against Italy at Wembley.
