Brazil rejected Guardiola before 1:7

The Brazilian Football Federation had rejected the possibility of Pep Guardiola to take the award-winning national team at the Mondial last year. The case dates back to the end of 2012, when Mano Menezes left the helm of the national team of Brazil. Guardiola himself sought a relationship with the Federation and asked for the opportunity to take the team.
Blinded by the opinion that a foreigner may not lead representative team, because it does not handle, the Federation refused the offer.
'I`ll tell you more.`, said Alves. 'He was willing to work without pay. He would ask only a big premium in case the team wins the world title. He was examined everything, he knew what team to release. The best coach would have been almost free for the Federation, but they refused.`, added Barca`s defender.
Instead of Guardiola, the Brazilians got Scolari and we all know how the story ended - with a catastrophic loss of 1:7 against Germany.
