An attacking trio of young talents revived Lille

Lille`s recent victory since the start of the season came on Saturday against St Etienne`s strong team. The Pesos won 3:1 and after the ninth round of League 1 they are second in the standings. Progress is obvious, as last season the team barely escaped from a fall and ended up pointing above the danger zone.

At the core of the revival is the attacking trio composed of young and fast strikers. Jonathan Bamba, Jonathan Icone and Nicholas Pepe already have an attractive nickname and even challenge the dominance of the big three PSG. They are called Bip Bip because of their speed. The name is taken from the French title of the classic animated series of Warner Brothers `The Sweetheart and Willie Coyota`. Lille still has not played with Lyon or PSG this season, but in his last two games adviced by live betting odds he scored a convincing victory over Marseilles with a 3-0 win over S eth Etienne`s well-organized team who arrived at Stade Pierre-Morois`fourth in the standings after three consecutive wins. After this game Lille scored 17 goals scored in the first nine matches.

The scorer of the Bamba team has played in League 1 for some time since he debuted in 2015 when he was only 18 years old. He rose to St. Etienne last season when he scored seven goals in the league, having already reached that figure in the current campaign. Marking two hits against Marseille and St. Etienne showed he could do it against the most serious rivals.

The youngest of the three - Icone, who is 20, also plays a lot this season after spending 18 months in Montpellier, but Pepe is the player who shines. With his six goals and four assists, the 23-year-old has been in more than half of the teams since the start of the season. He is quite different from the player who could not have gotten to Angla 18 months ago when the B amba player was the champion there. Like many of the players who have recently emerged in French football, including Icone and Bamba, Pepe comes from the suburbs of Paris. He started his career in Poitiers, then in the French Fifth Division. It shows qualities that make Angie attract him only 16 years. He is supported by his family, as his father even registers as a coach to help his son. He was not invited to the youth formations of France, but in November 2016 he was surprised to receive an invitation to the national team of Cote d`Ivoire, Ivoire for a match against France. Although he became a national, he was still perceived as an untapped talent in Angie, and he had doubts about whether he would manage when he went to Lille in the summer of 2017 for 9 million euros. Lille attracted Pepe at Marcello Bielsa`s insistence and did not do it for his achievements (he had only three goals this season), but because of his potential. Bielsa recognized the talent in it but did not do much to develop it by using it as a central striker after leaving Nicholas De Preville and Eder. Pepe had difficulty coping with the pressure to be the champion of the elite for the first time and that made fans turn against him at a time when the team was struggling to survive in League One.
