Poland and Germany ready for the quarters

Poland won over Azerbaijan with 3-0 at men`s Volleyball.

The European champions dominated over the hosts from the begging before winning the three sets 25-14, 25-13 and 25-17.

"It wasn`t an easy game. We knew that Azerbaijan could give us a tough game, but our tactics were good and that helped us a lot.We have won four from four games from football live stream and we are feeling confident. We came here to beat everyone, so we are looking forward now for it. We want to win every game.We are not worried about who will be our reval in the next round. We will just try to win the game and continue our progress in the competition." said Szymon Romac, who scored 15 points for his team.

The Azerbaijan head coach Bulent Karsliogl said that he is proud with his team and added: "We had a lot of defeats, but these became a part of the less experience. We are a very young team. We need time to become a strong one."

In their last Pool A game, Azerbaijan will face Turkey, Poland will play against Finland.

In the evening`s Pool B game, Germany beat Italy with 3-0 to ensure their place at the quarter-finals and to take the Italians out of the competition.

The Germans had to work hard for the win, taking the sets with 25-18, 25-22 and 25-23.

"It wasn`t an easy game. Italy had a really good match. The good thing is we know that we can play better.There are a lot of good teams at this competition, but first we have to play against Belgium and then we will find out which team will be our next opponent.", said the German Jochen Schops.

Germany will play against Belgium in their last Pool B game, while Italy face Russia.

In the Pool A day games, France defeated Turkey with 3-0 and Serbia beat Finland by the same scores.

In Pool B, Slovakia beat Belgium with 3-1, and there was a big surprise that Bulgaria beat Russia with 3-1.

At Pool A qualifiers are France, Poland, Turkey and Serbia , at Pool B - Russia and Bulgaria.
