Grigor Dimitrov was eliminated in the quarterfinals of the "Masters 1000" Monte Carlo tournament. The Bulgarian slid with 1:6, 3:6 to Gael Monfils, thereby already he has lost 3 of 4 matches with the black Frenchman.
The game on the central court lasted less than an hour and passed entirely under the control of Monfils. Grigor Dimitrov conceded too many unforced errors, which were welcome for the stably Monfils.
Thanks to the victory the Frenchman reached the semi-finals where he will compete with Tomas Berdych.
Grigor Dimitrov for the second time in his career (after 2013 season) played at the quarterfinals in Monte Carlo.
By reaching the quarterfinals Grigor Dimitrov ensure nearly 80,000 of the prize money and 180 ranking points, which will retain his 11th position.
